Darius Tiberian
[Chorus:]
So to care or
Plead silence, weak hands are calling
There's close enough
And there's too far
It won't change an empty stare
But I can't seem to end
These images
Hauntingly looks like hell
Full Name: Darius Tiberian
Nicknames: Dare, Aronus, Arry
Physical Age: Greek God Old
Date of Birth: Unknown
Hometown: Mount Olympus
Current Residence: New Orleans
Occupation: Self Employed
Relationship Status: Widower
Character Type: Demi-God
Affiliations: Neutral; if you’re not of the Pantheon, Darius could give two farts about you.
Gender: Male
Hair: Usually short cropped and varies between sandy brown and blond.
Eyes: Also varies on his mood. Can be a light brown when he’s in a good mood, and dark red when he’s pissed off.
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 200lb
Body Type: Muscular enough to hold his own in a fight, with the deceptively smooth look of a younger man with no experience on a battlefield. To believe this would be quite the mistake.
Best Feature: His smile. Though he’s a brooding little bugger, when he smiles, a boyish charm seems to seep out.
Worst Feature: Said brooding nature. Darius doesn’t believe in happiness anymore, and tends to be grumpy around those who think otherwise.
Sexuality: Straight on a good day, but lately, he leans toward the ‘monk’ side of town.
Personal Style: Personally, Darius is a fan of the changing times, preferring a comfortable pair of jeans and boots to the togas and sandals of once upon a time. Talk about getting material into places that material should stay out of!
Face Claim: Jensen Ackles
Abilities: As a Demi-God, Darius has the quirks of being immortal, stronger than the average bear, able to heal quicker than one could blink and, thanks to Mommy Athena, has the eyesight of a hawk. At the same time, also thanks to a particular nasty turn of events in the past, Darius also has the ability to fade into a fine, almost invisible mist in order to collect the souls he’s charged with ferrying down to Hades.
Personality:
Once upon a time, Darius Tiberian could have been described as a happy, fun loving soul. He was always smiling in those days, loving life and enjoying a good prank. He was also very proud of his skills as a warrior and a hunter, relishing a challenge and willing to cut off his left pinky toe than admit defeat.
Nowadays, however, the man is but a mere shadow of his former self. Frowns and scowls are seemingly the order of the day, and to those around him, Darius is merely an old, grumpy soul who yearns for something a bit brighter in his life.

Bio:
Aronus was born of a tryst between the Greek Goddess Athena and her nymph lover. Brought up amongst the Gods and warriors of Olympus, he loyally served the Gods in the Royal Guard, whose purpose was to protect Zeus and his brothers at all costs. Life was simple, comfortable…and, if he were to be truthful with himself, boring as all Hades.
With the curiosity of a child, Aronus snuck down to the forbidden lands of the human world. He wanted to understand why the little mortals below lived such hard, violent lives, while the Gods lazed about in their gilded temples. He wanted to experience the pleasures of the foreign land, meet new people, learn of the wonders that the lush hills and crowded cities had to offer.
After six months of wandering, invisible and free, he fell upon the overturned carriage of a traveling Queen. The older woman was cached with age and powders, sitting regally on a mound of cushions while her horsemen ran frantically about, trying to fix their mistress’ transport. But Aronus did not care about the aging Queen, the nickering horses or the handful of servants bustling about. His eyes were transfixed on the most beautiful woman he had ever seen: Varona, handmaiden to the Queen, low born servant…
And the mortal that Aronus vowed to make his.
During the night, he stole her away while those in the royal house slept. At first, Varona was afraid, her meek little voice wailing for home. But, by way of his God-inherited beauty, she slowly forgot her fear and fell madly in love with the beautiful man. The two were wed in a simple ceremony, and lived in a small cottage in the forest, away from the prying eyes of the Gods.
However, the wars and disease of the human world were too frightening for Aronus to ignore. In an attempt to secure his love in his arms, he shared his God powers with her, mixing their life forces together. Varona became half God, Aronus became half human…
And the fun just only began.
Feeling the seductive power of her husband in her veins, Varona began to change. Abandoning the meek, docile persona that Aronus had fallen in love with, she left the small hut in the forest and attacked the castle of her former Mistress. She would rule this pitiful world of humans and weaklings! She would change it all to suit her needs, and have all that she had dreamed about while a servant in the Queen’s house.
Aronus did not have the heart to stop her and, to prevent her family from blaming her son, Athena took the only action she could deem logical: she struck down the mad Varona and sent her soul to the Underworld to burn in her many sins.
Aronus, however, could not stand the thought of his beloved suffering and went to Hades, begging for her release to the soothing planes of Elysian. He was convinced that it was his God powers that had turned her into the vicious, power crazed woman, and pleaded with the Lord of the Underworld for a reprieve. Hades, ever jealous of his niece Athena, agreed to let Varona go…if Aronus donated his freedom.
As the story goes, the great warrior Aronus, Captain in the Royal Guard of Olympus, was then enslaved by the dark God Hades. He would never be allowed to visit the great home of the Gods, or have any contact with his beloved mother. He would live amongst the humans that his wife had attacked, neither aging nor being allowed to form lasting connections of fear of discovery. He would also serve as Hades’ personal vessel, and would be ‘gifted’ with the job of ferrying souls from the human world to Charon, Navigator of the River Styx.
It was in this way that Aronus became Darius Tiberian. Cursed to walk the world forever, harboring souls to the Afterlife, he patiently awaits the end of the world, and fervently hopes that the Gods will go down with it.
