Abilities: Thanks to his family's meddling in things they shouldn't, when he gets really pissed off, Vincent can move things with his mind. He isn't the next bald leader of the X-Men, but he does have some very minor telekenetic abilities.
Personality: Growing up with a family of two-facers and backstabbers, it's quite natural that Vincent comes off as being a cold fish. He doesn't offer emotion of any kind, doesn't seem to be comfortable with overly emotional people, and tends to rub people the wrong way because of it. He is very professionally minded, analytical and loves a good puzzle, when he could find one that intrigues him.
A jaded soul who has seen much in his 37 years, he is not easily surprised and runs his company with an iron hand. He also has an almost obsessive dislike for anything 'not human,' and has been known to become downright rude when around these other species.

Bio:
Born and bred in the influencial Montegue family, Vincent led a very privileged life for most of his early years. His father, Joseph Montegue, served America as a prominent Senator, and his mother, Elizabeth Montegue, was ever the dutiful wife. To the public eye, the Montegues were quite like their literary counterparts; wealthy, prominent, and utterly two-faced.
Away from society's ever wandering attention, however, the family had roots in darker societies. Even after Joseph was forced to step down from his seat in the Senate for 'undisclosed reasons,' the Montegues loved power, thirsting after it without care of the consequences. They tried blackmail, 'behind the curtain' business deals...and, finally, the supernatural.
During this time, Vincent was in high school, courting the beautiful daughter of a shop owner. While she was not as rich as her fellow classmates, Mary Dubois had a heart that was more weighted down with gold than his mother's best jewlery. With one glance, the Montegue heir was head over heels in love, and he pursued her with the tenacity his bloodline was known for. After a year of secretly dating, the two decided to get married.
All in all, as Vincent looked back on his foolish youth, he should have been wary about his parents' easy congratulations. Seemingly with open arms, they welcomed Mary into their home and set up a 'family dinner' for her and their son, to celebrate the upcoming nuptuals.
In the beginning, everything played out well. His mother was warm and accepting, his father giving him all kinds of 'good job, son' glances as the meal progressed. But, with desert down the young peoples' gullets, everything changed.
Out of nowhere, the dining room erupted in darkness. The shadows were alive, choking and clinging, dragging them down through the floors to the basement. There were screams, the sticky wetness of blood on his face, and he could hear Mary calling out his name. He fought to get to her, swimming through the black, crying out in pain as something sharp scored his chest...
And then nothing. Silence. He was standing in a pool of blood, the familiar trappings of his basement around him. Mary's lifeless body lay broken, bent in horrifying positions, the empty sockets of her eyes pointed in his direction. Horrified, he opened his mouth to scream, the sounds echoing in the room around him.
He had just turned 18 when he inherited a hatred for the supernatural. His parents, ever-so-greedy with their love of power, had decided to make the ultimate sacrifice: the virgin, Mary Dubois. They traded their humanity for power, for gifts of the Gods...and in the end, condemned themselves to the darkness that they had called.
In one night, Vincent Montegue became the heir of his family's fortune. The bodies of his parents were never found, and Mary was laid to rest in her family cemetary. Now, almost thirty years later, he owns one of the world's most influencial companies, Montegue Inc., dealing in international trade and army-funded research.
But the most important face of Montegue Inc. is the research portion. Though hidden from the public eye, the small, protected building in the outskirts of New Orleans is dedicated toward furthering their human counterparts. Their goal is to understand every aspect of the 'supernatural community;' putting together dossies and weapons geared toward the strengths and weaknesses of those traveling in and out of the Realm, with Vincent Montegue at the helm.
As far as he is concerned, the world is under human control. He and his company serves one purpose and one purpose only: to ensure the survival of his race, in the face of the monsters that haunt the night.
