Teagan Casey
Bleed out all empathy
This vessel has no spirit left
To hold onto lies I’ve lived in full
How long can I hold tight to every movement?
Tension binds and denies my true nature

He wears jeans, t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and sneakers, like everybody else, but they tend to be more high end than clothes a typical teenager would wear, courtesy of his legal guardians. He’s not consciously picky about what colors he wears, but he tends to gravitate toward blue or red.
Face Claim: James Lafferty
Abilities:
Teag doesn’t age in this realm.
He can cause things to melt, explode, or render them to ashes by heating them up while touching them. He can turn this ability off and on easily and is in good control of it for the most part.
He can receive messages telepathically from those who are able to send them. He can’t read minds, but he can sometimes pick up on general moods and emotions tied to messages he receives. He can communicate with others telepathically if their minds are open to it.
Teagan has above average strength, stamina, and reflexes.
He has knowledge of spell casting and rituals, but is not used to casting spells in this realm, so he doesn’t usually do it. Also, the last time he cast a spell I didn’t go so well, so he’s sort of avoiding the whole spell thing for now.
He can’t fully shift into his demon form in this realm, but he can partially shift. This can involve an elongation of his limbs, his skin taking on a blue-ish tone, growing sharp claws, and some changes in his bone structure.
Personality: Generally, Teagan keeps to himself and doesn’t go out of his way to interact with others unless he thinks they could be useful to him. If he thinks someone can do something for him, he’s fully capable of turning on the charm, trying to befriend that person. He’s not one to get too attached to people easily, but if he spends enough time with someone and they seem to trust him, he can develop loyalties. However, if Teagan feels loyalty toward someone, he expects that same loyalty in return. If someone wrongs him, he’s ruthless and unforgiving.
He tends to run hot and cold. His moods change drastically for the slightest reason or seemingly no reason at all. He’ll rarely outwardly show his emotions, preferring to keep a neutral appearance. So it’s hard to tell what he’s feeling unless someone knows him well enough to pick up on subtle changes in his demeanor and body language. He’s a lot less guarded one-on-one than in a group and in those moments he’ll often reveal more to someone. He has a bit of a cold, calculating way about him and tends to analyze and pick apart things. He doesn’t feel things easily – he is a demon after all – so it can take a while for him to develop feelings of any kind toward others. But, when he does feel something, it seems to hit him like a gunshot all at once and he feels very intensely. He can also get a bit obsessive once something catches his interest.

Bio:
Teagan was born a demon in a different realm than this one. Both his biological parents are full demons and he was raised in a world where demons were the dominant race. He was always treated like he was something special. Everyone was either terrified of him or worshipped the ground he walked on. He was powerful in this realm, even as a child, having two pure-blood demons as parents. He picked up on his abilities quickly and practiced them often. He also enjoyed tormenting the subservient species of his realm, like a twisted toddler might enjoy ripping the wings off of flies.
One day, Teagan decided to attempt a spell. It was an advanced ritual, but he was fully confident he could complete it. Unfortunately for him, he largely over-estimated his spell-casting abilities. Something went awry and he was shoved out of his realm and into this one. As if being plopped into a new world wasn’t bad enough, his powers were greatly diminished and he appeared as a teenage human boy.
Teag spent quite some time simply lurking and observing this world. For months he squatted in abandoned buildings or other out of the way locations. He learned the language of this place, how people his age dressed and acted; he taught himself to read and read books and newspapers, finding out all he could about this world and hoping to find a way out of it. When those efforts were fruitless, Teagan grudgingly accepted the fact that he’d be stuck in this realm for quite some time. He went about the tedious task of assuming a human identity and working his way into society.
Teagan adopted the name Teagan James Casey and forged a few necessary legal documents for himself, such as a birth certificate and a driver’s license, which says he’s twenty-two. He lived like a transient for a while, squatting wherever he could, stealing what he needed to survive, killing discreetly if necessary. He also started talking to people, learning more about their society the more he interacted with them. But, there were consequences to being social. Soon, he attracted the attention of the local authorities and social services. He got tossed into foster care and was eventually taken in by Joe and Annabel Rossi, two loving parents to three grown children who needed someone to take care of. He was also enrolled in a local high school, where he had to take classes and interact with a lot of people on a daily basis.
Teagan is currently a junior in high school and although he’s gotten used to being human, he’s not exactly happy about it. He’s just trying to get through high school and find a way back home.

The cafeteria was a miserable place to spend half an hour. It was loud, the line for food was always way too long, and the food sucked once you actually got your hands on it. Then there was the problem of finding a seat. High schools had their own social hierarchy and a guy couldn’t just walk up to any table he picked and sit down without it being a big deal.
Unless that guy was Teagan.
Teag grabbed his tray and walked over to a random table, taking an end seat plenty far away from the group already sitting there. He could almost feel their eyes settle on him as he dropped his back pack onto the floor. Whatever conversation had just been happening abruptly stopped. Teagan ignored them and started shoveling food into his mouth. It might not have been that great, but he was hungry.
He was chewing a mouthful of over-cooked peas when someone sat down beside him. He didn’t acknowledge it. If he’d wanted to sit next to someone he would have done it.
“Hi,” the person said.
It was a girl and she’d spoken softly, like she didn’t want to startle him or something. He glanced over at her. She was small and frail-looking. Her hair was curly and forced into a ponytail it looked like it wanted to escape. His only response was to stop chewing long enough to look her up and down before turning his attention back to his food.
“I think you’re in my Calculus class,” she continued. “My name’s Amy.”
Teag swallowed and took a sip of milk. He gave the girl another glance, letting his eyes linger a bit, since apparently he was supposed to recognize her. He was pretty sure he’d seen that curly mop of hair in the front row of a classroom at some point.
“Yeah. Hi,” he said.
She smiled weakly.
“I noticed you were sitting by yourself.”
He shrugged.
“Yeah.”
He took a bite of a chicken nugget slathered in ketchup.
“Do you mind if I sit with you?”
Teagan sighed.
“Seriously? Look, if I wanted to sit with somebody I wouldn’t have sat by myself.”
Amy flinched as if he’d slapped her and looked down at the table.
“Yeah… I-I guess that’s a good point,” she said quietly.
Teagan ate the other half of the chicken nugget and waited for the girl to leave him alone, but she stayed where she was. He did his best to ignore her presence.
“Can I be honest with you about something?” she asked.
Teag clenched his jaw. Why wouldn’t she leave him the hell alone? He stared at her for a few seconds and she just waited patiently for his reply. He sighed, annoyed.
“I guess I can’t stop you,” he said.
She hesitated, seeming to be mulling over something. Then she looked away, embarrassed.
“I’m not really popular,” she said. “Like… at all. I have a few friends, but they have lunch before me, so I’m kind of on my own here… which is fine, except… well, people like to mess with me. They make fun of me, play pranks on me, steal my food. Stupid stuff.”
“Is there a point to this little sob story?” Teagan interrupted.
Amy got that startled just-been-slapped look again, but it was quickly replaced by an expression filled with determination and maybe a bit of anger.
“Wow. Okay, you’re clearly an asshole,” she said.
“Clearly,” he agreed. “Are we done here?”
She seemed to consider this, then shook her head.
“It’s just… people seem to leave you alone. I don’t know why – I’ve heard some stories, but… whatever. I just noticed nobody bothers you, and I thought maybe if I sat with you everyone would leave me alone.”
She shrugged and looked down at her lap again, seeming to re-think this entire conversation. Teagan studied her while he munched a chicken nugget. He honestly didn’t recognize much about her, but he must’ve seen her every day in class. There wasn’t much to her. She looked like a good meal would kill her and she seemed pretty timid. He could see why she’d be a prime target for the teaming masses. He rolled his eyes and sighed.
“You’re not gonna try to be my friend are you?”
She actually looked horrified at the thought.
“Well… no.”
He nodded.
“Good.”
He turned his attention back to his food and kept eating. They didn’t give you enough time to eat in these damn lunch periods. What a stupid concept – timed lunch. Amy sat there for a few seconds before she spoke again.
“Does that mean I can sit with you?”
Teagan glanced over at her.
“Not if you don’t shut up and let me eat.”
Amy sat there stunned for a few seconds, then pulled a brown paper bag out of her back pack. Teag wondered how long it would take for her to try making small talk. He was impressed when she didn’t.
