Tessa normally wears her long brown hair down and loose around her shoulders. If she's working or doing something active she usually pulls it back into a pony tail to keep it out of her way.
Her clothing style is pretty casual. Jeans, t-shirt, tank tops, leather jackets, jean jackets, boots, things like that are the norm when she's hunting. Tessa can rock a skirt or a dress though when she wants to, she doesn't mind wearing sandals or heels when she needs to. But, she does like to wear her short denim skirt with her cowboy boots a lot.

Abilities:
Tessa is what some have termed, a technopath. She has an extraordinary ability to operate or fix things. Pretty much anything electronic or mechanical she can figure out within moments. Computers and any other similar technology like phones, iPads, iPods, PDAs, TVs, etc.. Mechanical equipment, which include weaponry, vehicles, appliances other machines.
It's similar to a psychic ability that somehow allows her to mentally communicate with devices. She doesn't even know how it works. It just does. She can take things apart, put them back together, alter them, fix them, and enhance them.
Tessa also has an eidetic or photographic memory.
Personality:
Tessa is a pretty nice girl. Down to earth and likable for the most part. She was raised to have manners and behave. However, she also had a big brother who taught her how to take care of herself. Tessa has a very sarcastic wit and attitude sometimes that she gets from her brother. She also doesn't like to take shit from people. She will stand up for herself.
Having a brother who was 11 years older than her, she liked to follow him around and pester him whenever she could. Something she still enjoys doing on occasion. He taught her a lot though and she knows how to handle people. She knows when to play nice and when it's time to get tough. She is very good at being able to move back and forth between being the good girl and the tough girl.

Tessa's early years were spent growing up on the family ranch in west Texas. She spent a lot of time following her older brother Gabriel around. Generally being a pain in his backside. Though, in reality... he loved his baby sister to death and she knew it. She had him wrapped around her little finger. Everything was pretty normal for her, a good childhood up until she was seven years old.
When she was seven, her older brother Gabriel had turned 18 and decided that he needed to do something honorable by serving his Country. He left the family and joined the Navy. The next few years while her brother were away continue to be fairly normal for Tessa. Though she missed her big brother greatly, she still went to school, had friends and rode her horses and enjoyed her life on the ranch with her parents.
Tessa was an extremely bright girl and always got straight A's in school. She also had an unusual talent for being able to fix things. First it was things like taking her toys apart and putting them back together. As she got older and helped out on the ranch, her father was amazed when she was able to repair their tractor that had broken down. There were other episodes where similar things happened, but no one really understood what it was. As Tessa started to realize that she could do things that other people couldn't, she started to keep it more to herself. She didn't want people to think that she was a freak.
Everything stayed good and on track until she was fourteen. Then her life was turned upside down. It was summer and she was due to start high school in the fall. She was pretty excited about that. But, one day when she had gone with some friends to the lake, she came home to a horrible scene. There were flashing lights of police cars, fire trucks and ambulances surrounding their home.
Running up the long drive way from where she had been dropped off she tried to get inside the house but was stopped by a police officer. She was frantic. All she wanted was to get inside, to see her parents and make sure they were OK. But, everything was not OK. The police man told her that she couldn't go inside. That something terrible had happened. Her mother was dead and her father was missing. It had looked like her father kill her mother and then disappeared. The theory was that he was struck by a mysterious illness and had gone insane.
Tessa didn't believe it for a second.
Tessa was allowed to stay with the family of one of her friends while law enforcement tried to contact her brother Gabriel. It took some doing as he was overseas and on some type of covert mission where they were not able to contact him. When her brother was finally contacted and able to get home, it had been weeks since the incident.
Finally, the brother and sister were reunited. Tessa could tell that her brother had changed. His time in the military had taken it's toll on him. To come home to find out his mother was murdered and that his father was missing and the prime suspect certainly didn't help his demeanor. Of course, when he saw Tessa, he tried to hide all that inside him, but she could see it in his eyes.
Curse (a nickname her brother picked up in the military) had already decided to leave the military. But, now he wasn't sure what to do. He knew he had to take care of Tessa, that was the most important thing. The problem was he was ill equipped to be a full-time parent to a teenager. After a lot of talking and making decisions, Tessa was sent off to a boarding/prep school in Dallas. The Hockaday School (yes, that's really it's name) was an all-girls boarding school. Tessa wasn't too happy about the all-girls thing, but it was top notch as far as academics goes and with Curse's promise to keep in close touch with her she didn't put up too much of a fight.
Graduating at the top of her class, (the photographic memory comes in handy) Tessa then went on to college at MIT in Cambridge, MA where she got advanced degrees in Engineering and Computer Science, again graduating at the top of her class.
While Tessa was getting her education, Curse kept his promise and maintain close contact with her. They saw each other as much as possible. They became close again. Close enough that Tessa confided in her big brother about her abilities. Telling him that was why school was so easy for her. Strangely enough, her brother was not as shocked as she thought he would be. In fact, after they had discussed some things on numerous occasions, he began to tell her about some things he had learned. This is when Tessa go her education on the supernatural. He also told her about his suspicions that something supernatural may have been involved in their mother's death and their father's disappearance.
Now that Tessa is out finished with school, she is back to following around her big brother. The difference now is that they both know there is more out there in the world. And they both have a mission to find out what happened to their family. Tessa's determined to find out what happened and do what it takes to figure out the mystery. Even if her brother Curse doesn't like it one little bit.
