Joe Gamble
A company
Always on the run
A destiny
It's the rising sun
I was born
A shotgun in my hands
Behind the gun
I'll make my final stand
Full Name: Joseph Cameron Gamble
Nicknames: Joe-- thats about it
Physical Age: 25
Date of Birth: February 5 1986
Hometown: Los Angeles, California
Current Residence: Hollywood, California
Occupation: full time hunter-- on the side he runs a special effects/costume shop in Hollywood that is a front for his 'real' business-- making and outfitting other hunters with specialized weapons and attire for the job.
Relationship Status: single
Character Type: Human/Hunter
Affiliations: Chaotic Good
Gender: Male
Hair: Sandy Blonde
Eyes: Grey-Blue
Height: 6'2"
Weight: average
Body Type: Joe is physically very fit but in no way a 'muscle head' or overly beefed up.
Best Feature: His calm and the ability, even in the most hectic of situations, to think out several strategies that will most effectively help him.
Worst Feature: He shoots first and ask questions later.
Sexuality: An arrow
Personal Style: Unlike most hunters that find plaid shirts and torn jeans acceptible attire, Joe actually -cares- about his appearance. He enjoys wearing Lucky and Diesel jeans and TAP OUT, Xtreme Couture and other UFC brands when he's out hunting an easy job, but when he goes 'out' you would probably find him in a nice button down, etc...
If the 'job' calls for a little extra flair, you might find Joe in one of his many outfitted costumes. As his specialty is -effects- and the like, sometimes he will go all out with a uniform that is decked out with weapons fitted into places you wouldn't expect, or wearing full on
special effects make-up to hide his real face.
Face Claim: Cam Gigandet
Abilities: He has no magic powers as he is a human-- but he can kick your ass seven ways to Sunday!
Joes' an ace when it comes to all things electrical and technical. He's a whiz with any thing to do with computers and mainframes, and has also been trained in the art of special effects; Mechanical (including the use of mechanized props, scenery, scale models, pyrotechnics and Atmospheric Effects as well as prosthetic makeup.) He uses this specialized knowledge as a hunting tool; effectively developing distractions and make-shift weapons to use against the ‘bad guys’. In addition to these technical skill, Joe is proficient in hand-to-hand fighting as well as specialized weapon training and expertise; especially hand guns and knives
Personality: Joe is a pretty nice guy but can be a bit too distracted at times. And when I say -at times- I mean most of the time. Usually it’s all work and no play because this full-time hunter/special effects guy doesn’t do anything -but- work. He can be a little quiet now and then, but not because he’s reticent, mainly just because he doesn’t feel the need to speak up in a conversation unless he’s got something important to add to it.
Joe is a pretty calm, pensive, hard-working man. He keeps to himself, does what he needs to do, and doesn't ask for anything from anybody. Generally he's easy-going, and doesn't let the little things bother him much, but when he -does- loose his temper, watch out. Unfortunately it’s a doozey. The temper really doesn’t come out too often though, mostly when he’s hunting and even then not that frequently. The man uses common sense to stay calm and plans out the right strategy in order to come out above ground.
Regrettably Joe can also be a little judgmental. He was raised by an indifferent man that didn’t teach his son that not all supernatural creatures were bad. The hunter was taught to put a bullet in it and then ask questions later. This philosophy has pretty much stuck with Joe, and because of it, he feels torn sometimes.
Women were never really a problem or issue for the man. He doesn’t date much, mainly on account he’s always working, but he does go out every now and then to enjoy a female’s company. He’s not a real big flirt, but he can be charming when he feels like it.

Bio: Joe didn’t have much of a youth, really. He was born to an alcoholic hunter father and a mother that was long broken by the abusive man before her son had come along. Laura should have taken the boy when she decided to leave; after all, he was only three years old when she finally packed that bag and bought the bus ticket, but honestly she was just so empty inside she didn’t think that she could give him anything more than his father did…and besides a young boy needs a man in his life. To teach him. To get him ready for the cold, cold world.
Gary was not only an alcoholic, but he was a hunter to the extreme; cold and detached and lived not for his son or even helping to rid the world of things that went bump in the night, but for blood shed, the fight, the rush of adrenaline that he got when the steel blade sliced through the vampires neck or how the hammer would kick back as the bullet traveled towards the snarling face of the god-forsaken monster.
Joe was dragged from town to town as his father hunted down such things; never staying in any school longer than a few weeks if Gary even decided to enroll him at all.
Before the boy was old enough to drag on the hunts his dad would leave him alone in their hotel rooms. He lived on junk food that wouldn’t spoil and classic movies playing on the fuzzy television set; learning most of what he did about the supernatural from those films. Of course he missed his father; he didn’t have friends and was lonely, but really it was better this way. His dad was a cold man that was pissed at the world and would hurt his son when he had one too many beers.
When Joe was about nine years old his father decided he was man enough to hunt. Gary put an old revolver in his hand and told him he better learned to shoot or die, and so the young boy did.
The two traveled across the states, slaying whatever supernatural creature they would come across regardless of the threat the creature would present to them.
At first the young boy was sickened by the thought of killing something that could possibly be as innocent as he, but soon learned to push aside those feelings lest he feel the backhand of Gary’s hand across his cheek.
The father and son lived this kind of existence until Joe was about eighteen years old, when they found themselves back in their hometown near Hollywood California. It was then that Joe decided he was old enough to make his own decisions, and choose to split ways with a man that never truly cared much for his company.
He enrolled in a local college to major in Para psychological Science with a minor in Multimedia Development (or more commonly known, special effects) and later on, with the training he had in multimedia and special effects, he took on a quiet and unremarkable job behind the scenes with a company that specialized in low budget slasher films.
Knowing that the monsters starring in those movies were more real than anyone could imagine, Joe soon found himself longing to do what he’d been trained from birth to do. To hunt.
He turned his knowledge of the supernatural as well as special effects into something he could use, and found the money to start a costume/movie prop/ special effects shop that was actually a front developing specialized weaponry and garments that a hunter could use when tracking/fighting monsters.
