Born to a mid evil celtic tribe, Erik Kincaid was raised in the highlands of Scotland. In a time where war was rife with the King of England and people were highly superstitious, he grew up among whispers of fallen warriors and tales of horrific monsters that roamed the night. It was a test of bravery at manhood if you could spend a full night out in the hills by yourself without losing your courage. Erik managed this fine and went on to become the war chief of his tribe.
As he grew to full manhood, he fought bloody battles. In one such battle, he was wounded to the point of death but somewhere in the fog of his mind, a picture of a beautiful woman emerged and gave him comfort. At her touch, pain faded away and his agony was eased. When he awoke from the dream, he was alive and well on his way to healing. Unable to explain the vision, the Celtic warrior put it to the back of his mind and went about living his life.
As one of the fiercest warriors in the tribe, he soon was able to take a wife and found himself drawn to a beautiful red headed young woman by the name of Julianna. After a short courting period, Erik took her to wife and settled into the life of a contented man.
The summer of his 28th year, an terrifying siege on his tribe left it decimated. After returning from a scouting mission to find his parents and beloved wife dead, the young warrior went insane. Driven by the need for revenge, he called upon the gods and goddess's for help in defeating the pillagers responsible for the annihilation of his village.
Nehalennia, goddess of home and hearth, was the first one to show up and she promised retribution if Erik promised his soul to her. Without thought to the consequences, the young warrior gave his word of honor and then set about in a fury to destroy those who took his world from him. Once his revenge was meet, the goddess “blessed” him the with form of a wolf so that he might represent her to all who worshiped her.
However, it turned out to be a curse as much as a blessing. Over the centuries, his form was mixed up with that of a werewolf and he was hunted as much as the other by superstitious clans. Forced to flee his home, forgotten by the Goddess he was suppose to represent, he roamed from area to area until hearing about the new world across the water.
Stealling aboard a ship bound for the new world, Erik was able to find a home in the wilderness. Over the years, he saw wars fought and frontier settled. Moving as needed to keep his identity safe, he sought a safe harbor and finally found it when an old friend opened a club.
